Tara Reid poses for Playboy
Most people would probably tell you that they’d prefer not to see Tara Reid naked. As a result of several botched plastic surgeries, she doesn’t have the greatest body. I’m not saying that in an attempt to make fun of her – but Tara has often bared things she could have kept hidden if she’d wanted to, like her stomach, which suffered from some bad lipo. And let’s not forget the infamous nip slip (nsfw) – well really, it was a full boob slip. That happened after Tara had her breasts done, and the whole world saw her surgical scars. But despite all that, she’s taking it all off for Playboy. For the first time in my life, I’m going to follow the sentence “taking it all off for Playboy” with this: I actually respect her for it. It takes serious guts to bare your body when you’ve been critiqued like Tara has, and I imagine she must be very self conscious.
Just in case you were left unsatisfied by her red carpet breast baring, Tara Reid will appear naked in Playboy. Those pesky lipo scars, still apparent after an attempted revision in 2007, can’t hold her back. In Touch Weekly released the following statement:
In Touch can exclusively reveal that Tara Reid has stripped down to pose for the cover of an upcoming issue of Playboy magazine. The American Pie star, who underwent a botched liposuction procedure in 2004, posed entirely nude for the popular magazine at a private residence on October 7 in Santa Monica, Calif. Although Tara, 33, was a bit nervous shooting, she seemed to ease into it as the day went on. “She was a bit insecure about her body when they first started,” says an insider. “She looked great and finally got into the groove.” Tara had said in the past that she would never pose for Playboy, saying, “I know there are problems with my stomach. There are bumps on it, it’s uneven, but it’s not that bad. My stomach scars are my battle wounds.”

I bet “a bit nervous” is an understatement. Sometimes photo shoots have a ton of people and sometimes it’s fairly intimate with just a few there. I’m guessing for Tara’s sake it wasn’t some giant free-for-all with all sorts of Playboy people there. I bet they kept it to the absolute minimum. I wonder how much they’re going to airbrush her? I guess my real question is, are they photographing her because they think she’s sexy and want her to look hot? Or are they doing it for novelty’s sake? Like, “Look at these weird things on Tara Reid!” While I really hope that’s not the purpose, I am curious. And it’d bug me if they photoshopped her to look like everyone else. We all know she’s got some body stuff going on. Really, it’d be nice to see someone with an imperfect figure still in Playboy. I’m sure most of us can relate in one way or another.
The thing I find most surprising about this is that Tara agreed to do it at all. Why? There’s the obvious issue of money. She’s not exactly an in demand actress. But I’m guessing she could have made whatever she was paid some other way. The fact that she’s had so much surgery would have made me think she had body issues before she went under the knife. That so much of it had less-than-ideal results makes me think she has to have body issues as a consequence. Unless they’re going to airbrush her into ridiculousness – and maybe they will, maybe that’s why she agreed to do it – how could this possibly make Tara feel better about herself?
